I think there are more types Ming-style pieces developed and market purposely for summer-wear, because lets’ just be frank, formal Ming-style with collar that hugs the neck tightly is totally not for today’s summer climate in most part of China. Though these types of summer Ming-style attire shown above is generally not for formal gatherings. Anyway more types of summer hanfu and summer fabric were developed these few years, which was a relieve. Gauze (especially synthetic gauze) is very popular since last year. Honestly if it gets too hot just wear whatever most comfortable. -- source link
