bipolarbearjaws:shinjigeki:bipolarbearjaws:thebxb:GANG MEMBERS are preventing people from looting the shop…. While POLICE OFFICERS are too busy shooting tear gas…..………one more time.GANGGGG MEMBERSSSSSS are PREVENTINGGG people from STEALING while POLICE OFFICERS are wreaking HAVOC.Welcome to America.Okay yes gang members are preventing people from looting, but the police themselves are trying to detain the people who are wrecking and destroying the shops. I feel like I’m gonna get so much shit for this but give the police some credit. Yes they are using tear gas but are you forgetting why they are using it for? To control the people who are catching buildings on fire, and just blankly committing vandalism. Firefighters had to be escorted by the police so that no one would hurt them so that they wouldn’t get in the line of fire and wash out all the fire. Like what else do you expect the police to do? Say no no no? do you expect the protestors to stop if they just cops say “no please”? and even if a police officer were to stand in front of the store to prevent the looting calm, we all know that no one would care or give any them any recognition. Get Real guys. You’re only looking at one point of view. Why? Why are the police trying to detain those people?Think long and hard about the people you’re defending, and why you’re defending them. Police are not here to keep you safe. If you really believe that, you’re just ignoring the problem. Police uphold order and protect the white supremacist, racist society. They proved they aren’t here to protect us when Darren Wilson shot the unarmed, black, young Michael Brown Jr and left him lying dead in the street for four and a half goddamn hours. Where is your compassion? Police protect white America. Not anyone else. Black. Lives. Matter. Black lives matter more than anyone’s white fucking tears. The protests happening right now are peaceful in majority. Non-violent protesters. The violence used against them by the police is unlawful; it is called police brutality for a reason. It’s a hate crime committed by those in power and it should not be tolerated.People are being killed by the police. Black people are being killed by the police. That should be prioritized over white feelings and things that can be rebuilt, that insurance will cover. The protests should be happenings, need to be happening because the people won’t speak the truth. No indictment? How dare they suggest we be complacent? The protesters should not stop. They should never stop, not until there is justice. And those who aren’t out protesting should support them.As for the police officers - we all know the reason why they are armed and firing tear gas. Stop lying to yourself. It’s called white privilege for a reason.bipolarbearjawsI’m not defending the police nor the protestors, I’m just saying all of this is just so bias. None of this is white privilege for police when there is BLACK police officers present in the protests as well trying to detain the violent protestors.I just think that all the vandalism, stealing, and all the building that are put on fire are not needed to show a point when it affecting there own people in a negative way. Because those people who own the stores are black as well, and the people protesting are affecting there lives and hard work. Please tell me since when did Michael Brown’s cause became about stealing? But really I don’t even care anymore because if any opinion is against protesters it means that you are white and your ignorant and it means you must be racist. Justice is never served when it is forced behind riots, stealing, and vandalism. But like I said it doesn’t matter what anyone else says because no matter what an opinion like mine will be blown out of proportion to make me seem like I favor injustice.“If you are neutral in the face of injustice, you’ve proven you’re on the side of the oppressor.”Of course it’s bias. That’s what an argument is. If I didn’t feel strongly about this I probably wouldn’t be disagreeing with you. However, that is besides the point.Really? Black Ferguson officers? Ferguson has 50 white police officers and three black police officers. You’re ignoring that this photo was taken a month ago. Afterwards, the black community assisted in cleanup. Your argument has no base.Right now, the protests are peaceful. The protests are peaceful in majority and rioters are blown out of scale by the media. When did I mention Michael Brown’s case being about stealing?Newsflash: if you are white and ignorant it usually does mean you are racist. Racist isn’t an insult. If someone calls you a racist, it means that you are being racist. I have not yet called you a racist. I am genuinely trying to educate you.“It is not enough for me to stand before you tonight and condemn riots. It would be morally irresponsible for me to do that without, at the same time, condemning the contingent, intolerable conditions that exist in our society. These conditions are the things that cause individuals to feel that they have no other alternative than to engage in violent rebellions to get attention. And I must say tonight that a riot is the language of the unheard.” - Martin Luther King Jr.bipolarbearjaws -- source link
