A few close ups of the perennials shown in the previous post. The Black Columbines are seedlings of Black Barlow planted years ago. The seedlings are true to color, but, not true to flower form. Some are double and some are single. The sparking white Gillenia trifoliata (also known as Porteranthus) looks really sweet with the dark purple spires of the Caradonna Salvia. Both of these offer some repeat flowers during the summer. The little white Geranium is a macrorrhizum cultivar called Spessart.
