Though lightly armored and armed, Stuarts proved to be invaluable in jungle environments due to their light weight and manueverability. They provided much needed armored support to U.S. and Allied forces in places where heavier tanks simply could not go or would have been logistically impossible to deliver in adequate numbers. -- source link
