tobiltop:Chalice of RespiteWonderous Item, very rareThis chalice, cast in gold and adorned with rubies, is imbued with a slight warm and inviting aura.A Chalice of Respite holds 4 charges at most. When activated, it produces a single sip of a red and sweet liquid that, when consumed, allows one creature to regain all the benefits of a full rest instantaneously.Once a charge is spent, one of the four rubies on its base will dull, becoming inert. When all four charges are used, this item becomes a normal chalice and cannot be re-enchanted. __________________I like making magic items for D&D and had made this for my first campaign as a DM (which is on hiatus rn), acquired from a couple of artificers.A chalice can be made of just about anything as long as it is also made with gold and rubies worth around 5,000 gp (EXTREMELY HIGH quality materials, anything less and the spell won’t take). I’m not exactly sure HOW they are made yet, I’d probably say it’s a very long process and probably is an alteration of a greater restoration? Of some sort? I don’t have everything worked out but I like the idea either way.ALSO, when the chalice goes inert, it can be used instead for a Hero’s Feast, or just sold for a pretty dang good amount of money (It’d sell for even more with any charges still in it).So like, idk, ideas n stuff. If anyone has comments or like wants to use it or whatever like feel free. -- source link
