Two capitals with angels holding flaming swords were made for Glencairn’s fifth-floor chapel by stone carvers from the Bryn Athyn Studios. One angel is positioned on each side of the door as visitors leave. These celestial beings were intended to represent the “cherubim” who were stationed at the Garden of Eden, guarding the way to the Tree of Life (Genesis 3:24). -- source link
