Glitter path.Glitter paths form when the light from an orb like the Sun, Moon or Venus strikes choppy water, and is reflected, as it might be from a broken mirror, rather than the clear orb a whole one would reflect (seehttp://tinyurl.com/kvjnajg). Here the light from rising Luna and Venus has been reddened by its passage through a greater thickness of atmosphere, that removes some of the blue wavelengths leaving the redder ones behind, in the same manner that it produces the colours of sunset. The rays struck slightly choppy waters, forming the beautiful pathways of light that people have imagined they might someday walk down to reach the orbs since time immemorial.LozImage credit: Stefano di Rosa -- source link
