How many people do you know that will talk about their weaknesses, let alone boast about it? Not many.Yet, in 2 Corinthians 12, Paul says that he would rather boast about his weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in him. He then says that when he is weak, that is when he is strong.Matthew Henry says, “’When I am weak, then I am strong.’ This is a Christian paradox: when we are weak in ourselves, then we are strong in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ; when we see ourselves weak in ourselves, then we go out of ourselves to Christ, and are qualified to receive strength from Him, and experience most of the supplies of divine strength and grace.”May we not shy away from our weaknesses, but take hold of them and seek our strength in our Lord Jesus Christ. And in so doing may we experience divine strength and grace! -- source link
