ask-pride-color-schemes:theangrybi:ask-pride-color-schemes:theangrybi:thethingsididntsaytoyou:protectlgbtkids:also… queer pride flags already exist [ive seen the 2nd/3rd used a few times before, and the 3rd is the first google images result if you search queer flag]{pride-flags.deviantart.com}i would recommend doing more research on lgbt history before creating a queer flag, because a queer flag would represent a lot of people. i have thoughts on a queer community but thats for another post.edit: have been informed lavender is a lesbian colour and it should Not be used.@theangrybiThe first and third had issues (and are extremely new too) which is why some of us started the discussion in the first place. The second flag is literally the first one suggested in this whole discussion and was the design of @officialqueer And lavender has always been a bisexual color and a reference to being queer but lmao whatever I guess lesbians own colors to be appropriated nowNow that I think about it, I could totally add lavender to the oldest queer design to fix the issues people had with it, which are that pinks and blues next to each other represent same-gender attraction, which you don’t need to have to be queer. A lot of people have been insisting that even though many bi/poly people might not be attracted to the same gender and there’s many trans/nb people that don’t have a same or similar gender. (I know the designer of this and I can assure you that kit’s not one of those people, and the design was made in good faith). So here it is, another option with lavender ripped straight from the genderqueer design, because it’s been in that design for a long time and isn’t exclusive to lesbians.[Image: 9 vertical stripes from left to right: Black, lavender, light red, mango orange, white, lime green, deep sky blue, lavender, black, with a black Q in the center].[Image: 9 horizontal stripes from left to right: Black, lavender, light red, mango orange, white, lime green, deep sky blue, lavender, black].-HermyDamn that is so much better!!!! I actually enjoy those now!!! Tbh I’m interested to see what the top one would feel like without the Q. They look nice, don’t mess with my eyes, and definitely don’t look too much like rainbow now.Easy fix![Image: 9 vertical stripes from left to right: Black, lavender, light red, mango orange, white, lime green, deep sky blue, lavender, black]-HermyAnother version of this flag that I haven’t seen before. This post is from 2016. -- source link
