mybrainrots:julaerenee:mybrainrots:mybrainrots:@julaerenee It’s Steve McQueen in the “The Great Escape” from 1963, a movie based on a real life escape from a nazi prisoner of war camp in WW2. It’s a great movie, and reading about the actual event is terribly interesting and awe inspiring. This is one of the iconic scenes from the movie and I’ve always thought they must have been referencing it in the scene with Sherlock and the squash ball because he’s about to escape certain death (THE great escape!). I’d never thought to put them together before I saw the top .gif. They’re really mesmerizing viewed at once! (Probably way more detail than you wanted…)@mybrainrots thank you for this great info! I knew the scene looked familiar, even as I was watching TRF, but couldn’t place it since I only saw The Great Escape one time, many years ago. BONUS: “McQueen” @julaerenee You’re welcome! BONUS: Chicken Run! :) -- source link
