Because I just mentioned it in that other post: Rei wearing Risa’s necklace in Casablanca Memories. The text never points this necklace out. It’s just a little visual thing you can follow throughout the story. The only reason we know it’s her mother’s is because when Rei reminisces about her mother and the manga shows us her face, she wears the necklace in Rei’s flashback of her. Notably, Rei wears the necklace even after she transforms into Sailor Mars. -- source link
