The finished render of my current D&D character, water genasi wizard Kamiko Shimizu, and her koi familiar Lotus. Kamiko grew up in a city that venerated the frequently-occurring water genasi children of the region as signs of their god’s favor, and was educated as a priestess and engaged to the genasi son of another prominent family. All her plans for her future changed suddenly when she witnessed the death of her childhood friend, as the ship her friend was on was consumed by something vast from beneath the water. With dawning horror Kamiko realized that the religion in which she was raised was really a cult, and the god they worshiped was something… else. In the dead of night she fled to another continent entirely, hoping there to amass enough magical training and knowledge to someday return home and end the control of the horrible power beneath the waves. -- source link
