★ Inavember 03  |  @inazuma-hpau​ ★ → Hufflepuff!Umihara Norika (5th year) x Gryffindor!Genda Koujirou (7th year)Headcanons:- Genda is halfway to the Gryffindor common room when he remembers he left his keeper gloves on the bench in the qudditch locker rooms down by the pitch. He tells Kazemaru and the Fubuki twins that he’ll catch up to them in the common room after he’s found his gloves.  - Upon successfully retrieving the gloves, his eye catches a figure catching quaffles in the rain as he passes the stadium.- Norika has once again stayed behind after the hufflepuff’s weekly qudditch practise to work on her keeper skills a bit more. She charms the quaffles to throw themselves at her while she does her best to stop them.- She’s become more frustrated than she usually is. The feeling of not improving fast enough and that she’ll never be able to stand in from of hufflepuff’s rings. - She’s practised to the point where she isn’t fully concentrating and a quaffle catches her off guard hitting her from behind and knocking her off her broom.- Genda panics seeing her decent from the sky. “ARRESTO MOMENTUM“ he yells as her fall slows down enough for him to catch her smoothly. - He yells at her telling her that she could have been seriously injured, but softens immediately when he notices tears in his eyes.  - She tells him why she has to do this, to work so hard, to practise till she needs to collapse.- She loves Tachimukai as one of her best friends, but can’t help but feel a little discouraged seeing his progress develop quickly. He’s even played in games when captain Endou had been too injured to play - but she? Not a real game, only practise ones. So, she had to work as hard as she could to catch up to her fellow keeper rivals. - Genda listens to her patiently. He understands her and knows the feeling of frustration built inside of her. After all, only a fellow keeper with the desire to be the best keeper they can be while facing fellow rivaling keepers for the one spot in the team could ever understand that. - He himself having to fight his way to get the starting keeper spot on his team since his 2nd year. - He also shares the rivalry with Hufflepuff’s captain Endou at being the best keeper in school as a keeper of an opposing team.- Genda decides to train Norika up as her mentor - to become a better keeper. Norika cries out of happiness and throws herself at Genda into a large hug (Genda feeling a tad awkward as it wasn’t something he was expecting and awkwardly semi-pat-hugs her back)- They meet every Thursday evening from after dinner till curfew while most other students are busy with homework or spending time in the common room. Norika works hard while Genda drills her with the basics (”the better you are at the basics, the better your overall performance will be”).- While Genda doesn’t often show it, he is immensely proud of Norika (but often does ruffle her hair when she’s done something well). He often jokes about being a traitor to Gryffindor because he’s training “the enemy”. Extra:- They become incredibly good friends and Norika looks up to Genda a lot. They study together and Genda even helps her with her homework as she’s studying for OWLs (which he took the year prior).- Norika often shares some sweets and cakes her mother sends her every week with him. He doesn’t want to admit it, but Norika knows he’s a big sweet tooth.- Norika sends Genda his birthday gift by owl so that it arrives the during the breakfast of his birthday. He likes to keep his birthday down-low (which is hard to do because it’s exactly the same day as Kidou’s birthday). For his birthday and also a thank you gift, Norika gives him a new pair of light weight dragon skin keeper gloves along with more sweets and a note. He knows the gloves aren’t cheap as they’re the same used by professional keepers and feels incredibly touched by Norika’s present. She smiles at him from the hufflepuff table and he smiles back.Headcanon tbc…   -- source link
