undeadcourier:reminder that amata is hispanic/latina and butch is indigenous (deloria is not an italian name, it’s dakota), and not to whitewash them in fan art and edits.and before anyone rehashes that old nonsense: just because you think his name sounds italian doesn’t make it italian; it is dakota in origin. just because he has a greaser aesthetic doesn’t make him italian-american. the geck “races” are extremely restrictive categories that don’t account for people who are mixed and don’t even have a category for indigenous people, and as you can see from the screenshots provided, butch is obviously not white. -- source link
