procrusher: from Homesick (at ao3) by @margotkim: Bilbo’s arms were looped around Thorin’s neck. He didn’t hold Bilbo’s hand exactly. He sort of pinched the sleeve of Bilbo’s shirt, rubbed the fabric between his fingers. Dwalin looked away. It would have been less intimate if he’d just grabbed Bilbo’s hand. I had to draw this. You know when you happen upon a line in a story that makes your breath catch? It’s hard to give a good description of this fic so here’s a sub-par one: Bilbo has dropped into a deep sleep from which he can’t wake, so Thorin straps him to his back and carries him back to the Shire. But then a bunch of stuff happens, omg guys, it’s great. Read it!! @margotkim: hi. I love your writing.
