After removing the front bumper I accidentally forgot about a few screws near the wheel well and ended up running one of them over. I’ve only put 200 miles on this 4r and I’m already having problems. Luckily the screw didn’t puncture the sidewall so I was able to take the tire to a shop to have them patch it. This literally could not have happened at a better time as my camping trip was in less than 24 hours. I took it to the most available tire shop to have them patch the tire I fucked up. They got to work on it as soon as I arrive. Things were going great until I get up to the counter to pay. They had some bad news, of course. As I come around into the shop I find out they broke one of my studs. This is pretty unbelievable considering the car had 200 miles and zero rust on the studs. I was just having the best luck. They said sorry and offered to fix it but by now you could bet I was done with life. I sucked it up and drove to Toyota (for the 5th time this month) to pick up studs. I didn’t want anything else to go wrong so I took matters into my own hands and changed my stud myself. I also didn’t mention to you I still had to make a trip to the doctors for a cold and pink eye. I ended up fixing it and continued packing for my camping trip. This was just another bump in the road. A reminder that shit happens and we just need to handle it and move on. No use in crying over spilt milk. -- source link
