Two Triangles (Triangle North? Cresthaven Triangle)? Bed - May 2018Apologies for the lack of color correction. I’ve had to turn my monitor a crazy shade of orange until I can get my vision dealt with. Not sure I’ve ever shared a picture of this bed before. Current contents: Dogwood and Sourwood (there originally), Cresthaven Peach, a Fig ‘Chicago Hardy’ that hasn’t yet shown sign of life this year, Mountain Mint, Strawberries, Clary Sage, Gladiolus, Ascelpias incarnata, some Buddleia from @misadventured-piteous-overthrows, Coreopsis ‘Moonbeam’, some sort of yellow Agastache, Lilies, possibly a Dahlia or two (we’ll see if it survived the winter), Gaura (maybe.. not sure it made it), Stokes Aster ‘Blue Danube’, a white Phlox, and at one point there was a Nepeta of some sort but Rumi may have destroyed it by rolling over it intensely, and some volunteer Daisies that I’ve been meaning to yank out or at least transplant. They’re so pretty when in bloom but we already have lots of volunteer daisies everywhere. They don’t need to take up valuable bed space when they can actually handle very rough conditions.I’m probably leaving a few things out… anyway, not sure I mentioned it or not but Fleabane got into our compost and therefore has been all over our garden, so this is the bed freshly (and mostly) weeded, then mulched. There’s still some grass mixed in with the daisies that needs to go but … omg there’s so much weeding to be done right now. This is THE time of the year to nip it in the bud, before the roots get too established. The recent rain makes weeding much easier but I’m tired of being wet. -- source link
