Hey Everyone! So we’re still here, still working away as quickly as we’re able. And things are looking magnificent! But I’m sorry to say this is really not the update I’d been hoping to write. We had really hoped our team would be debuting the film this weekend at Leakycon, but that just wasn’t meant to be, unfortunately. We kept it quiet because we weren’t sure if we’d make it, but seeing everything coming out from the convention, it breaks my heart that we’re not among them. Because nobody on the team can be paid for their work, our VFX artists have to put their paid work, school, families, etc first. We had hoped the summer would open up peoples’ schedules, and we would pick up the pace and get back on schedule, but instead everyone got busier, and several artists had to leave the project due to a lack of time. Thankfully, we’ve recently had two new artists join us, including the director & lead VFX artist of our fellow HP fan film, The Warren Flamel series, who we’re incredibly excited to be working alongside! I apologize for the infrequent updates, by the nature of post there hasn’t been a lot to share more regularly without spoiling the whole of the film or giving you random numbers like “this week artist X finished shots 0080 and 2050!” But as we’ve said, we’re still here, and still hard at work. It’s taken a lot longer than any of us ever anticipated, and I promise nobody wants to see it completed and released than we do. We will continue working, and are incredibly excited to share it with you when it’s finished! I know I speak for everyone on the TGS team but when I say thank you all so much for your patience. -- source link
