manbartlett:Now HERE’S a way to start your week! Ram Dass looking like Rasputin! Yaye! Circa 1968 (via). Was thinking about him when updating my quotes on my Facebook page last night. Last year while I was traveling I read “The Only Dance There Is” and had a lot of time to think. One quote in particular stuck out to me then, and still does. It’s from a parable about the Hindu deity Hanuman. Someone (Rama?) was asking Hanuman who he was, and he responded, “When I don’t know who I am I serve you. When I know who I am, you and I are one.”I try to keep this in mind in all situations; wherever I am. Certainly with varied success…“When I don’t know who I am I serve you. When I know who I am, you and I are one.” This is still my mantra, all these years later. Rest in All Light and All Power, All Now. -- source link
