Every project has to begin somewhere, and I suppose that this inaugural post is the permanent record to mark the beginnings of this photographic undertaking.My aim is to celebrate the people who have made Doctor Who happen to date: Doctors and companions, friends and foes, cast and crew. Armed with my trusted 1980s SLR, rolls and rolls of old-skool central European black and white films, and boundless quantities of respect and love, I am embarking on journeys near and far to meet and photograph the amazing people behind one of the most enduring programmes on British television.(And I’m assuming that if you’re here, the chap pictured above needs no introduction.)As for me: I’m a recently-transplanted Canadian expat named Sami Kelsh, currently based out of Manchester, and I’ve been photographing for about 15 years, specializing in analogue photography using any interesting old cameras I can get my little hands on. You can find many of my works and my CV on my website. This project is purely a labour of love for me, and something from which I expect to make no money.
