Happy 2018, here’s a dinosaur! Continuing my New Year’s tradition of posting about a din
Happy 2018, here’s a dinosaur! Continuing my New Year’s tradition of posting about a dinosaur at the start of every year (’13, ‘14, ‘15, ‘16, ‘17), here’s a look back at Ultimate Dinosaurs, my favourite special exhibit ever.***Magic means Dinosaurs Magical. It’s the only way to describe the feeling of walking into the construction of Ultimate Dinosaurs. Headless, armless, missing their tail, the creatures of the greatest dinosaur exhibit the Royal Ontario Museum has ever built went up slowly. But unlike many of the world culture shows the Museum has created over the years, the dinosaurs were the first things to go in, after which the rest of gallery was built around them. This created an almost meditative space to just breathe in for someone who had dreamed of dinosaurs their whole life. These photos date back from spring 2012, during the construction of Ultimate Dinos. By @kironcmukherjee. Last update: January 1st, 2018. -- source link
