Kimono. Taisho period (1912-1926), Japan. The Kimono Gallery. A rinzu (damask) silk kimono featuring stenciled patterns of yabane (arrow feather) and fan motifs. We have not seen the traditional arrow-feather motifs handled in the abstract manner as on this example - experimentation with the traditional was one of the characteristics of some of the best Taisho-period art. -- source link
