ramboblue:An evil man has died.Let’s not pretend that we owe this man or his family an ounce of forgiveness, compassion or kindness. In the history of the human race, there have been a number of truly horrible human beings: Hitler, Stalin, Bin Laden, the Kim Jong family, etc. When people such as this pass away, the world becomes a greater place for their absence. There is no shame in feeling a sense of satisfaction that this man can no longer spew vile hatred directed toward innocent people who are at their most vulnerable. It does not make you “as bad as he was” to be glad that Fred Phelps can no longer terrorize others (though his equally vile family members will likely carry on his legacy).Don’t allow anyone to bully you into remaining silent or forgiving this piece of garbage. If you choose to forgive him, that’s fine. I respect that. However, if you choose to smile knowing that the world has one less hate filled bigot, you owe no one an apology for doing so. You don’t owe Fred Phelps or his disgusting Westboro Baptist Church cult members a damn thing, and don’t you forget it. -- source link
