Stars are birthed out of massive nebulae or gas-clusters that, over millions of years, form gravitational centers through accumulation of dust and force. This cloud is one-light-year long (around 6,000,000,000,000 miles, to put that in perspective, the diameter of Earth is 7,926.3352 miles.) is a flourishing star awaiting to be born, but the harsh currents of ultraviolet radiation blasted by behemoth stars nearby has sculpted it into a long, fireball like shape. Among the 65 large stars beating this youngling before it can even fledge its core are the hottest, brightest stars in the galaxy. This includes Cygnus OB2, a massive OB association. -- source link
