cruelestmonth:Thank you! I’d love for there to be more Mae fic. I know she gets mentioned a lot in fics, but she doesn’t always make an actual appearance. I think the idea that she’d be able to help Anders feel all right being himself is super important. What he did was not great, obviously, but it isn’t as personal a thing for Mae. And I think her being a mage who is allowed to do what she wants as she wants really impacts her perception of what happened in Kirkwall. And Anders is definitely beating up on himself enough for multiple people. I feel like Hawke and co. are handling things as best they can, but leaving Anders in Tevinter was just doing everyone a favor. The only real difference would probably be her father’s personality as a whole and the age at and manner in which she was able to be herself. Most of the rest is still the same, I think? I really want to get back to the Hawke/Mae/Anders fic. So far it’s from Hawke’s POV. I’m debating switching between their POVs or just writing side fic. My memory of Act 2 is super hazy, but I am re-playing DA2 for the umpteenth time. And I’m not really focusing too much on the plot so much as how they all interact and eventually wind up together. And ooo great! I have so many feelings about Share Your Silence. Mostly good although I find myself getting easily discouraged and a little melancholy as it draws to a close. I’m ready to move on – more than ready in most respects– and yet I’ll miss it. Over all, I’m pretty baffled and proud that it is currently about 517 pages in EPUB form. And I feel the characterization and changes I made worked. It’s a rough one though because it incorporated so much of the gameplay and oftentimes the dialogue. But it was a fun, ambitious undertaking that began at a time when I was really, really feeling miserable. So I’m glad Eilan saw me through that, and it’s been a pretty cool journay to write about. And I think it really helped me remember I can write and ought to both in terms of fan fiction and original fiction.Anyway, thank you, @thegarretthawke, for the feedback and thoughts and encouragement! :DSometimes I think I get so caught up on feeling a certain way or discouraged that I forget how to move past it. It’s helpful to know how readers feel about fics just in general. But I truly, sincerely appreciate everyone who does read whatever I write, comments or not. <3 All y'all reading Love Me And Mend yet? Why not?!http://archiveofourown.org/works/3264989 -- source link
