uesp:momir:uesp:gwynbleidd892:uesp:“Along with Lord Nerevar, and at his insistence, Almalexia, Sotha Sil, and I swore before our god of oaths at the time, the Daedra Lord Azura, never to employ the tools of Kagrenac for any purpose. We broke our oaths. We turned our backs on the old gods. I still see no compelling reason to worship any of the Aedra or Daedra. But, for the respect I held for Nerevar, and the respect I held for myself, I should never have betrayed my oath. Of all my life’s actions, I most regret that failure.”–VivecWhere is this quote from? ESO? I don’t think Vivec ever said anything like this in Morrowind. This is from Morrowind. If you ask Vivec why he caused others to suffer, he will say he respects you for asking him that, and promises to recount his sins in detail once Dagoth Ur is dealt with. After that, you can ask him why he broke his oath, with this being his response. This is the last thing I could ever imagine Vivec saying. Sotha Sil maybe, but Vivec? Vivec, gilled and blended in all the arts of the star-wounded East, under water and in fire and in metal and in ash, six times the wise, the union of male and female, the magic hermaphrodite, the martial axiom, the sex-death of language and unique in all the middle world? Why would he ever regret using Kagrenac’s tools? And in these latter days of Morrowind, reduced to a subjugated province of the Western Empire, as the glory of the Temple fades, and the dark tide rises from Red Mountain, we are reminded of Azura and her promised champion’s return. We have waited, blind, and in darkness, mere shadows, drained of our ardent vision, in shame of our folly, in fear of our judgement, and in hope of our deliverance.–VivecEither you have an enviable memory, or a pitiable life, to know nothing of regret.–Sten, from Dragon Age Origins -- source link
