Yesterday in class we had to present our Moda project final garment in a 2 minute presentation. My collection: Indestructible Femininity was influenced by James Bond, Bond girls and the Aston Martin car. I chose this as a theme as 2014, which the collection is for, sees the release of the next JB film and the 100 year anniversary of the Aston Martin car name. The last project I did was very girly and soft so this is a big difference to that. I loved experimenting with the tailored details. My satin covered rigilene skirt, which was inspired by car alloys, includes a painstaking made chain (which took hours to sew together) that I then further hand embellished with sew on crystals.
