My husband and I were heading to an exclusive restaurant. I had the best night planned. But when I got home, Maria was on my doorstep. “Today’s the day”, she smirked. I begged her - not today!! It was my wedding anniversary. “I’m aware”, she grinned. She had me call my husband and tell him that for our anniversary, I wanted to live out my life long fantasy. I wanted him to be Maria’s for a night. I was forced to help her get ready. I assisted her into the incredible dress I’d bought for the occasion. I did her hair for her. Her makeup. I painted her toe nails. Hatred oozed out of me as I knelt before her. I was made to serve her and my husband a pre-drink. I was to relentlessly compliment Maria in front of him. When they left, arm in arm, I was to prepare my bedroom for them. Rose pettles, wine and candles. I was then to go to her house, where a list of household chores would be waiting for me. I would return to my house at 9am and serve them breakfast in bed. I was to tell my husband that seeing them together made me so happy, and that he had permission to see her whenever he wanted. I was to tell them how great a couple they looked. Maria raised her eyebrow. “Anything else?” She knew there was. She had told me exactly what to say. “What I want more than anything”, I almost whispered, “is for you two to be together. Permanently. I want Maria to move in, and if she agrees to, she’ll be the woman of the house and I’ll be…..”. I looked down before speaking the words. “I’ll be her maid”.
