fuckyeahtattoos: “It’s alright to fear when tasting the sun” is what my back says. It’s from my father’s metal band when I was 13 years old. I manipulated the original lyric which was “It’s alright to fear when we’re tasting the sun”. The first time I heard the song, I fell in love with it. I listened to his lyrics and fell in love with the one line. After I had turned 18, I had gone through a horrible relationship. I was angry over it and was just going to give up on everything altogether because I was scared of ever being hurt again. Then the lyric hit me. It was alright to fear when tasting the sun, which to me meant it’s okay to be afraid when you’re reaching to do something great. Like fall in love. Now, nearly being 20 and having my life motto on me forever, it’s guided me and reminded me that’s it’s okay to be scared. For that, I’ve found someone I truly am in love with. Something as silly as a tattoo kept me motivated to never give up. -- source link
