littleblackchat:littlesurra:littlefallprince:emilyinthetardiswithcheekbones:frizz01percy:this should be the most reblogged post on tumblr before it diesWe need to reblog this so much that the post breaksDo not likeKeep. Reblogging.TUMBLR IS *NOT* FOR KIDS JEEZ LOUISE KEEP THEM OUT.Kids are dumb (and I mean that in the most reflective, self-exemplary way possible), and they need a space to BE dumb and to figure out how to NOT be dumb. The more time kids spend online, the more they CEMENT THEIR STUPID CHOICES INTO A PERMANENT DIGITAL FOOTPRINT. They give out way too much personal information, they react - shock - like kids and enflame arguments with people who don’t know they’re just kids, and they are the victims of sexual predators and bullies. Keep your kids off tumblr, hell - keep them off the internet. Give them a book or a pet or a friend and fucking RAISE THEM YOURSELF, IT’S NOT THE INTERNET’S JOB.This has been a psa.I’m reblogging this for two reasons. First, I agree 100% with that commentary. The internet is forever. Kids should not be put in positions where they can make mistakes that will last their entire lives. They aren’t ready for that yet. (Teens aren’t quite either, but at least they’re usually smart enough to not make the huuuuuge mistakes a kid might?) Keep your kids safe. Don’t help them cheat the system and create accounts before they’re 13.The second reason–and the reason I will reblog this every time I see it–is the date on the tweet. 2013. Whatever Yahoo was going to do has been done, so let’s not panic about them ruining tumblr, okay? -- source link
