Finnish author Tove Jansson received the Hans Christian Andersen medal in 1966 for her Moomin series. Though best known for those novels, her picture books were popular as well. Who Will Comfort Toffle? is one of those picture books and takes place in the world of the Moomins. The book was originally written in Swedish as Vem ska trösta knyttet? but was translated into English by Kingsley Hart. Toffle remains frightened and alone in the world until he finds Miffle, who is even more frightened than he is, and rescues her from the Groke. This book is part of our Margaret Coughlan Collection.-Lauren Galloway, Archival AssistantSource:“Tove Jansson.” Wikipedia.
