They showed me that commitment to one another can take you anywhere in baseball - so long as you respect one another and work together, you can get your team anywhere. They taught me that the relationship between a pitcher and a catcher is the most important one in all of sports, that it’s like a marriage (in their case, literally), that it can make or break your team. They’re the very reason I put so much emphasis on battery now - because they taught me just how focal to the game it really is.Junta Takase on the left and Kazuki Kawai on the right.
