Die Archive, 1945-1952(archives constantly being enlarged)variable dimensions, 14, Carbon copy ink on paper, glass © Maria Trialoni The archive and the process of its creation are directly connected with history and the preservation of historical documents. The work consists of an archive of old newspaper, telegrams , images etc, which notes and recounts the historical documents on the inland Helgoland (1945-1952). Part of the private historical archives,which has been copied by using carbon paper, examines the notions of the production and reproduction, mass communication, information, memory, time and narration.By replication I create these historical documents with the intention of bringing to light historical moments that tend to be forgotten, re- examining historical events and keeping their memory alive. -- source link
