Since I was young SEA has always been one of my favorite airports to fly through (I loved the “talking” fountains - still do) and the addition of a Sub Pop shop in ‘14 created serious competition with PDX for number one. Today I got the opportunity to check out the AMAZING “Push Me, Pull Me” art installation, made up of about 100 of the over 500 concert posters from Pearl Jam shows that have been commissioned by the band dating back to 1990. I’ve never really been a serious “collector” of anything but I if I had to do it all over I would have collected posters from the shows I’ve been fortunate enough to see over the years. Seeing so many show posters from one of my favorite bands all in one place provided a great excuse to spend 45 minutes of a layover humming PJ songs while enjoying the incredible poster art. Fun to see who they shared stages with at all these shows too.Art credit as listed:(Installation)Organized by EMP Museum, in collaboration with Pearl Jam, Ten Club, and Ames Bros.(Lower left)Brad Klausen - Dublin June 22nd 2010(Lower right)Jeff Soto -September 7, 2011 Montreal -- source link
