This is Atef. He is from Egypt, and his son, Karam, was just 20 when he was killed in an attack on the bus he was traveling on. The bus was stopped by Islamic extremists. They gave all the men on the bus the choice to convert to Islam or die. Karam chose to keep his faith and lose his life. Every night, Atef watches old videos of his son on his phone before he goes to bed. The memories help him to sleep.Asked about his son’s impact on him, Atef says “his life was his testimony… He was always talking to me about the Kingdom of God… and he encouraged me to go to church and work on my relationship with God.
