The current setup for my two rabbits; because a few people seemed to be interested in ‘mainly indoor’-rabbit enclosures. I can’t really call it an enclosure, but hé. It’s difficult to see on photo but both Cecile and Flo now weigh 5,5kg so these are not small buns.First of all: Anyone who says rabbits are low-maintenance pets is lying. More info about their setup here:Photo 1: Their main eat area. The door to their cage is permanently open so they can go in and out whenever they please. They very rarely sit inside their cage but I decided to keep it anyway because it’s easier to get their into their carriers this way; in case they need to go to the vet. There’s a puppy pad in the dark area because that used to be their toilet when they were babies and they might still have an ‘accident’ there every once in a while. The rugs you see are all car rugs. They love those best, for some reason. Which is great because it’s easy to clean!Photo 2: The litter box and sleep-area.The light grey rug is softer and thicker than the car rugs and they use it to sleep on at night. Because they are so big, I need to keep their food as high up as possible. On the left you see the litter box. Yes, they’re both completely 100% litter box trained. I use wood pellets to fill it with as it absorbs fluids very well and barely produces any bad smells or dust! I also always keep some hay in there as well because they like to munch on something when they do their business. I have to re-fill their hay every single day!Photo 3: Their favorite lounge spot. Now, this was quite unexpected. We used that little tray table thing so store their food pellets and other things (such as their puppy pads and combs, etc) on but they decided it was the perfect place to sit on. So I put a nice soft rug on it; used some fleece blankets to pad the sides with (the walls were very cold there) and tadaa! This is where they’ll hang out during their daily ‘siësta’. Oddly enough, they won’t go to sleep there during the night. -- source link
