assholeofday:John Boehner, Asshole of the Day for October 29, 2014by TeaPartyCat (Follow @TeaPartyCat)Back in 2012 Mitt Romney tried to make Obama seem misguided for not taking Israel’s side on everything no matter what. It seemed odd because Romney seemed to be saying that failure to follow Israel’s dictates was somehow unpatriotic for a US President. But that was 2 years ago.Today John Boehner criticized the president on Israel and Iraq saying:When the president discusses Israel and Iran, it is sometimes hard to tell who he thinks is America’s friend and who he thinks is America’s enemy.Now a couple things are going on these days— Israel is openly criticizing and badmouthing the Obama administration and the US, and Iran is in talks with the US and others to give up their nuclear ambitions.And of course it’s in Israel’s interest that Iran give up the potential for nuclear weapons, as Iran’s first target is often discussed as wiping Israel off the map. So Israel should want this to succeed. As should everyone. If we can get Iran to give up their weapons without a war, everyone is better off.And getting Iran to negotiate to give up nukes takes diplomacy. You can’t just spend every waking moment talking like some John McCain bomb-first-ask-questions-later idiot. You have to be nice. You want them to keep on talking, not walk away in a huff.
