With #DiabetesAwarenessMonth in full swing, I’d like to address THE most frequently asked question I receive constantly… Not one single person in the world has been tattooed with ink that changes color with changing blood sugar. It doesn’t actually exist outside of a research lab someplace. I don’t make it. Nobody makes it. Nobody plans to make it. Last I heard, the researchers at MIT don’t plan to develop it for commercial use. Diabetes tattoos are fun, meaningful, artistic, liberating, empowering, beautiful and awesome. If you get one, PLEASE send it to me so I can share. #DiabeticInk was created as a place to tell the stories of PWD and to be an archive of ideas for others who want a diabetes tattoo. . . TL;DR - color changing tattoo ink is not real. Get a normal tattoo. . . #diabetes #diabetestattoo #diabetic #diabetictattoo #type1diabetes #type1diabetic #t1d #t1diabetes #t1dlookslikeme https://www.instagram.com/p/Bpzja-MAEk2/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=bmwedbokgxw7 -- source link
