Want to attract ladies to your pond, but afraid of being seen by predators? This beeping froglet [Crinia parinsignifera] has a simple solution; hide under a leaf. These small ground-dwelling frogs max out at just 2.3 cm in length, and possess great variation in their skin color, patterns, and texture. These frogs are often found hiding under objects at the edge of swamps and ponds. Males call for females by producing a series of squelching noises, repeated every few seconds.
