imhearingnoisesanditsawesome:Paul Simonon, bassist of The Clash, smashes his Fender Precision bass against the stage at The Palladium in New York City on 21st September, 1979. Although the photographer Pennie Smith didn’t like it cause she thought it was too out-of-focus, the picture was named the “best rock and roll photograph of all time” by Q magazine, “capturing the ultimate rock’n’roll moment of total loss of control”. It was used as front-cover of the band’s most successful album, London Calling (1979). -- source link
