sidetongue:A lot of you know my best girl Millie. For those who don’t, she is the crummiest, foulest, ugliest thing I’ve ever set eyes on. She also owns my entire heart. Mil has a chronic ear infection that is destroying her quality of life. Miller has been suffering with excruciating pain for the last several months, and has been poked, prodded, put under, and been tested dozens of times. Nothing was helping to ease her pain or treat her ear infection. We recently learnt that she is resistant to most antibiotics - and in a desperate effort my vet ordered a compound drug of the two antibiotics she is NOT resistant to. It didn’t work. Now Miller needs an ablation of the vertical ear canal. This means a chunk on either side of her face will be cut out; exposing parts of her inner ear permanently. It is an uncommon procedure, the only current alternative to euthanasia, and still is not a guarantee. The recovery will be long and gruesome and is only the first step in a long journey of treatments that may help her. Miller has always been a confident, cunningly clever dog who is a pal to all. She is a fantastic dancing partner, a competitive running companion, a delightful foster sister to any sad soul I bring home, and her favourite thing to do is spring high up into the air every time someone yells “bounce”. She is only three years old, and although those three years feel like a lifetime, I am not ready to lose my girl. If you’d like to help my little blue hard-boiled egg, please consider donating to our GoFundMe: https://www.gofundme.com/jpbvpt-help-for-millie&rcid=r01-155481193591-584a23271aca4933&pc=ot_co_campmgmt_wAnd to my guardian angel and wonderful friend, I am so thankful for the help you have given us in our time of need. I hope your terrible daughter finds a miracle just as much as I hope the same of mine. -- source link
