oveliagirlhaditright:fiveshortgrayblesofmylife:oveliagirlhaditright:fiveshortgrayblesofmylife:oh, don’t worry, of COURSE i didn’t forget all the times Kairi’s protected her friends. what do you take me for.And there are other times, too:). Like, Kairi’s one of the thoughts that keeps Aqua from giving up and nearly letting herself get killed at the end of Birth by Sleep.Kairi also keeps Sora from giving up in the “I believe in you” moment of KHI.She also rescues Sora by screaming his name, when Riku/Ansem is about to kill him and he’s not paying attention. There’s also a good chance her lucky charm has magic and helped Sora through his journeys, and that without it the adventures could have gone a lot worse for him. It certainly gave him Oathkeeper. She also would have gone with Sora to save Riku, if he hadn’t told her “no”.Kairi’s the whole reason Sora didn’t become a brainwashed puppet of Organization XIII’s in Chain of Memories, so she rescued him there, too. It’s also Sora getting all of his memories of Kairi back that wakes him up… without that he never would have woken up, or saved the world a second time, because he didn’t want to live even with one memory of her missing. (This is scene in Days, when DiZ tells Naminé that she can wake Sora up without him having every memory of Kairi “I think he could do without a memory or two”, and Naminé replies, “But what if he needs them to wake up? What if they’re the key?”)It’s heavily implied that Sora gets “Limit Form” because of Kairi: pulling out his lucky charm, and her being kidnapped reminding him of his first quest (the description for it talks about “Sora’s memories of the past”, and that “friends far away” are responsible for it).Kairi helping to fight in KHII gets rid of the Heartless swarm some, so that they’re not overrun. Kairi’s the whole reason that Riku stays at all–and that Sora knows that “Ansem” is him–which is how they defeat Xemnas, and do much of the heroing they do later.Kairi’s also the one who notices the Heartless overrunning the castle, and if Sora and Riku had remained unaware of them–and they’d attacked while they were still unaware–that could have caused some trouble for the two.And Kairi’s the one who pulls Sora out of the illusion of Memory’s Skyscraper that Xemnas put him in. The “Sora, where are you?!” part, at which point the illusion begins to fade away right after she speaks. And Kairi’s the only one who isn’t down on Sora in KHIII, but rather believes him, which probably helps him to do what he needs to do.Also worth noting that Kairi is the one to notice Kingdom Hearts when it appears on the scene in KHII, which they needed to hunt down Xemnas there. She’s also the one who gets Sora and Riku out of the Realm of Darkness when they’re trapped there. And her fighting in KHIII did help some. And her doing so made certain that none of the Seven Princesses would be targeted. She also helps to talk Sora and Aqua out of some suicide mission thoughts of facing the Demon Tide by themselves.I also think Kairi notices the Lights of the Past before anyone else? Which is helpful. And in Re:MInd Sora gets a new form because of her and her lucky charm again.!!! Have a couple more gifs bc you’re absolutely right(bonus: kairi protecting namine)I was actually going to mention the Naminé thing, but I wasn’t sure because I didn’t know if she was actually protecting here there. But after seeing this again, I think she definitely is. Bless you for all of this:) Seriously. -- source link
