blake-onator:Here is me throughout my life. Last there pictures: A week or so on T, Four months or so on T, and 11 months on T.Happy Transgender Day of Visibility, everyone. I want to start off by saying that I recognize and am passionate about the fact that many individuals can’t or don’t want to be visible today or any day, and I want to celebrate them today as well. I also want to point out that we need to celebrate trans people who don’t pass or have no interest in passing just as much, or more, than us who can and do pass. They are the ones who are in the most danger, and they are so brave. While problematic, I want to take a second to post on TDOV because for some people, visibility can be helpful. I was only able to realize that I am trans because I came to learn that transmen existed. Visibility isn’t the solution to oppression against trans people, but it isn’t completely invaluable. I needed to see me five years ago. Please take the time today to say something positive to a trans person who isn’t as lucky as me. Honor and support those who need it most. I am always here if you need someone to talk to. You are not alone. -- source link
