In China, it’s illegal to be involved in any church meetings or activities if you’re under 18 - this picture, taken in China, therefore shows people breaking the law. The pressure is building on young Christians in China. One recent secret youth camp was raided by the police, but the leader managed to convince the police the group were just on a joint holiday. So, when it’s against the law to meet to worship, pray and grow in faith, would you still do it? An Open Doors worker explains how youth groups are still meeting:“They use different locations, such as coffee shops, parks or even homes of the believers. The meetings are smaller so they can be more mobile, and can stay invisible to the authorities.”Young Christians in China are beginning to understand that persecution is part of their faith - but they aren’t giving up. One teenage girl who was at the camp that was raided said: “I now know that I can be peaceful and calm because I know that I am following the one true God. I know that there are a lot of different ways to face persecution.”Pray that young Christians in China would grow bolder, stronger and more faithful through these times. -- source link
