Here’s a throwback to seven years ago, my desk at university where I studied Illustration. You can see the first two art dolls I ever made! A creepy rabbit and a weird white gremlin guy. Also a print out of my idols work, Santani. In this year we were encouraged to experiment with what the definition of illustration is by being taught the basis of hundreds of different processes. We did printmaking, pen work, even made interactive flash websites. I was having a rough time at home with my parents divorce and felt like the world was against me so I sat down one day and just thought “fuck it. I’m gonna do what I want to do.” And that was working out how to make art dolls :) … I’ve never been on for tidy desks -- source link
