For the High Line Plinth, Haim Steinbach (b. 1944, Rehovot, Israel. Lives and works in New York, NY) proposes Chicken Coop, a chicken coop on 22-foot stilts. Steinbach reimagines the chicken coop in the form of a penthouse – the apartment at the very top of a city building, most often the most exclusive piece of property in the building. Steinbach’s work imagines raising chickens within the framework of human demographics and economics. You can view a maquette of this work at 1/16 scale on the High Line at 14th Street through April 30. -- source link
