One of the first things to go when I get out of alignment is my diet … eating poorly or not at all. Intuitively, I know that nourishment is key to wellness. I’ve been slowly baby steeping my way back into the kitchen … Today it was my turn to plan the seasonal cooking club menu. I chose to cook from @mynewroots beautiful book “Naturally Nourished.” We began our meal with carrot cumin crackers to dip into beetroot & caper hummus. The main course was a harissa dressed kale salad (topped with homemade almond “feta”) & one-pot kitchadi (aka kitchari), which is Ayurveda’s most healing & balancing dish of mung beans, rice, spice & veggies.
