MCU Ladies Week[Day 3-Favourite Scene(s)]-Natasha Romanoff and Skye vs Loki and Grant Ward ‘So. Banner. That’s your play.’ 'Thank you. For telling me everything you know.’There are so many amazing scenes with my fave MCU ladies, but not much can compare to the gorgeous parallels between these two fantastic scenes. Nat and Skye are just so powerful in these scenes from The Avengers and Agents of SHIELD, respectively. Of course, Nat’s manipulation of Loki is an iconic moment, so you can imagine the awe all of us AoS fans had for Skye when she pulled a similar maneuver on Ward. These ladies make use of their being underestimated, and in doing so, cunningly manipulate Loki and Ward to gather intel. Nat of course is attempting to discover what Loki’s plan is, whilst Skye wants information from Ward about her father, and both appear emotional in order to put their plan into action. Nat plays scared, pretending to be frightened by Loki’s bloodlust, whereas Skye plays into Ward’s fantasy that she believes him and wants them to leave together to find her father. In the end, when they reveal themselves, Loki and Ward both appear shocked by the manipulation, and their reactions never fail to leave me smiling, whilst applauding the ladies for their good work. It also doesn’t hurt that Nat is the first female Avenger and Skye is the first super powered heroine in the MCU. That just makes this parallel that much more special. These women are so important as female representation in the MCU, and I can’t wait to see more of them. -- source link
