This is a spread for those who feel hopeless. I’ve placed jasper in the middle, as I was hoping for words of strength and jasper is for protection. I can carry it with me to take the reading along, to guard my thoughts.Card one (lowest on my left) is something good about today. Here I have the prince of pentacles. He seems to be reminding me that I got my work done early and I have the whole rest of the day which I intended to devote to my interests.Card two (higher on my left…from there I think you understand the progression) represents some reason to stay with others: the ten of cups represents happiness, harmony, and the end of conflicts. It’s true that I have a load of dates with good friends upcoming. The kind of friend you see seldom but it’s always like falling back into the same loving place. And oh man is there ever a conflict that I want to see the end of…and I guess there will never be peace in any of our hearts without me to work on it.Card 3 is a reason to stay for myself: the 6 of cups. Memories of the past. And this is what I always eventually tell myself. Remember all the times that it felt so dark, and then it got better? It always does.Card 4: one thing to do to begin a healing process. The Stars. Hope. Hope is so easy to lose, but I have to make myself look straight ahead, and not get bogged down on the sides. Come to think of it, there’s a silver star ornament hung over my desk with the word hope written on it. I almost forget it’s there because I’ve had it for so long. This is one that I’m going to have to take with me so deeply.The last card represents the rising of the new sun. I have the 8 of swords, which really confused me for a while. In the end, I decided that it means I won’t give up, even in the face of strong adversity. I’ll look to the stars instead. -- source link
