la-arcane:Older art again, this time from Fall 2010.This is perhaps my favorite piece, even though it’s a few years old now. Meet Arcane, my wyvern avatar and a character whose design went through a ton of small adjustments before I finally settled on this one. Her design was originally more complex with more markings and details, but I deemed them too irritating to work with and removed most of them. Her species is called the Suzaku wyvern (Zhuque eximia) and I even have their hide marking genetics worked out, haha. I’m a dork.She is so, so pretty! I remember years ago when she was more of a phoenix instead of a dragon - she’s become so powerful-looking and gorgeous! -- source link
